New Outpatient Centers Offer Residents Convenient Access to Tests and Treatments (March 2006)

Residents of several area communities now have new choices for convenient access to outpatient tests and treatment services with the recent opening of two new Parkland Outpatient Centers: The Parkland Outpatient Center at Nutfield at 44 Birch Street in Derry , and the Parkland Outpatient Center - Salem at 18 Pelham Road in Salem, NH.

Both new outpatient centers offer laboratory services, ultrasound testing, mammography screening, general radiology and bone densitometry. The Outpatient Center at Nutfield also offers diabetes management and nutritional education as well as rehabilitation services. Most tests and treatments are scheduled in advance, however laboratory and general radiology are offered as walk-in services at both locations.

“This expansion is part of Parkland’s goal to extend services out into the community eliminating the need for patients to come to the hospital for all of their outpatient tests and treatment services,”’ said Jeff Scionti, Vice President of Ancillary Services. “With an Outpatient Center, patients who are not necessarily sick but need routine testing and screening can receive quality healthcare in a non-hospital based environment. The Outpatient Center at Nutfield was designed as a wellness suite of services,” he added.

Currently, Parkland Medical Center provides outpatient services in Derry, Londonderry and Salem. “The growth of Parkland’s outpatient service locations is another reflection of the continued expansion of hospital services both inside our facility as well as out in the communities we serve,” said Scionti.

The Parkland Outpatient Center at Nutfield is located in the Nutfield Professional Building adjacent to the main hospital building in Derry on 44 Birch Street. The Parkland Outpatient Center in Salem is located at 18 Pelham Road across from Southern New Hampshire Bank before the Stiles Road Intersection.
